Piling for Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster

As the World Cup 2018 semi-finals commence this week, we look back at the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster where Aarsleff Ground Engineering installed 947 No. 250mm-350mm square precast concrete piles for the stadium foundations. Aarsleff completed the project over winter 2005 utilising its Banut and Junttan rigs to drive the piles.

The new stadium was part of the massive regeneration of Doncaster with £32 million to transform the Keepmoat Stadium and its surrounding complex into one of Yorkshire’s premier events venues. The new Keepmoat Stadium now has a seating capacity of 15,231 and includes conference facilities and multi-functional spaces. Homed at the stadium will be the Doncaster Rovers Football club, Doncaster Rugby League Club and Doncaster Rovers Belles Ladies Football Club.
