DEDICATION FROM SITE TEAMS OFFERING OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE PUSHES PROJECT DRIVERS FOR MIDLANDS AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT

Project Description

Data  231 250sq mm driven precast concrete piles
Client  Harrison Eastoft Ltd
Type of contract  Design and build contract
Construction period  January 2024

Lincolnshire is well known for its agriculture output, home to 10% of England’s agricultural production. In January 2024, Aarsleff Ground Engineering mobilised to a site in North East Lincolnshire, close to our Midlands head office. Working for Harrison Eastoft Ltd, we were tasked with the installation of 231 driven precast concrete piles in order to found a new grain store unit.

The work took place over a period of eight working days, with a total of 231 250sq mm driven precast concrete piles installed. These work well as foundations for structures such as grain stores as they are quick to install, require very little site set up and generate essentially no spoil to then be cleared.

When we arrived on site, a slight difference in ground conditions meant that pile installation took longer than initially expected. To manage this, we communicated effectively with our client and extended our working hours to ensure that the programme of the overall job was not affected by this change.
