Aarsleff’s manufacturing facility announces new Partnership with Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust

Aarsleff’s sister manufacturing facility Centrum Pile have announced a new corporate partnership with the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, one of the county’s leading conservation charities run by local people for the benefit of local wildlife. Centrum Pile have also become corporate sponsors of the Beacon Hill Conservation Park in Newark, and a business supporter of the Nottinghamshire Nature Reserves Fund.

The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust campaign tirelessly for wildlife, protecting threatened habitats and species. They influence government policy and local planning decisions that affect the future of wildlife and the quality of the environment. As well as monitoring the planning system to look out for damaging proposals, they provide developers, councils and planners with expert advice to help shape plans for local areas.

Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust has been safeguarding wildlife and special green spaces since 1963, and with the support from Centrum Pile, they can now do even more. Since its inception in the UK in 1993, Centrum Pile has recognised that concern for the environment should be an integral and fundamental part of its business. They conduct their operations and maintain their state-of-the-art facilities in line with a commitment to enhance their environmental performance. Working with suppliers to minimise the impact of their operations on the environment, Centrum Pile maintain an open information policy towards the concerns of local communities and all other parties affected, interested and involved in their activities and to issues which concern the environment.

Centrum Pile’s General Manager Paul Pendleton said:

“We are looking forward to developing a long and fruitful relationship with the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust, an organisation dedicated to the improvement of local areas and wildlife where our employees live. Here at Centrum Pile, we maintain a trained and competent workforce, and we hope that the partnership will further provide our staff members with the appropriate resources to ensure our environmental, CSR and health and wellbeing policies are implemented in full”.

The partnership will raise awareness of Centrum Pile’s green credentials and positively raise its profile in the local community, through helping to fund important conservation in both Newark and the wider Nottinghamshire county.
