For example, Aarsleff’s precast concrete piles generate no spoil during installation, reducing vehicle movements to and from the site. On urban brownfield sites, in particular, this approach also eliminates hazardous waste disposal.

Aarsleff’s areas of involvement include road construction, water treatment facilities, canals, coastal protection, and major rail projects such as the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, where the company manufactured and installed hundreds of 600 mm square precast concrete piles, the only project of its type in Europe.

Aarsleff Ground Engineering was appointed by Burden Brothers to deliver the supply and installation of 328 steel tube piles in support of a new silo development in Sheerness.

In June of 2023, Aarsleff commenced installation of 2612 300sqmm driven precast concrete piles in order to found new industrial warehouses just outside of Derby.

M6 Smart Motorway Improvements

Aarsleff were contracted to drill 42no. probe boreholes across the 11 mile stretch of the north and southbound motorway to establish any shallow coal mine workings that would require further treatment.
