Aarsleff awarded RoSPA Health and Safety Gold Award

Aarsleff Ground Engineering are delighted to have achieved a Gold award in the internationally renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards 2020.

The RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Awards scheme is the longest running of its kind in the UK and it receives entries from organisations around the world, making it one of the most sought-after global accolades in health and safety.

Aarsleff had to evidence the safety initiatives it implemented in 2019 to prevent accidents, along with the training schemes it put in place for their employee’s and how health and safety has been communicated within the business.

Robert Speakman, STEQ (Safety, Training, Environment, Quality) Manager said:

“It is a fantastic achievement for our team to be given such a prestigious award, confirming our continued commitment to occupational health and safety development and management. Last year we implemented a new safety committee, which has seen improvement in our processes and helped bring in new ideas and initiatives for the safety of our employees. We also carried out behavioural safety training at the beginning of 2019, which was as an exciting opportunity for the whole business to engage and work together to drive improvements.”

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of qualifications, awards and events, said:

“RoSPA wants every employee, wherever they are, to work safe in the knowledge that they will be going home unharmed and healthy at the end of every day. The RoSPA Award winners are vital to help achieve this goal, as by entering they are driving up standards and setting new benchmarks for organisations everywhere.”
