What is the ICE Piling Specification?

The ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) Specification for Piling and Embedded Retaining Walls (SPERWall) is the UK’s leading technical specification for piling and embedded walling works, either on land or near the shore.

The third edition of the ICE Piling Specification has been published and can be used by clients, engineers and contractors as the trusted document on all aspects of Piling and Retaining Walls. This edition reflects on the latest piling techniques and procurement methods used in the geotechnical sector, as well as revisions to the Eurocodes, British Standards and CIRIA guides.
