Ground Engineering Services

Ground engineering for business parks requires a detailed understanding of soil conditions, structural loads, and site-specific challenges. As business park ground engineering contractors, we’re positioned to deliver solutions that are both practical and cost-effective.

Our ground engineering services for business parks include:

We also offer ground improvement for business parks to increase load-bearing capacity and reduce settlement risks, particularly in sites with weak or variable ground conditions. Our efficient groundworks support sustainable development, readying sites for long-term commercial use.

Business Park Retaining Walls

Modern business parks often feature complex terrain, multi-level structures, and space-efficient layouts. This makes retaining walls a crucial part of the overall engineering strategy. We provide a wide range of retaining wall solutions that cater to different site conditions, structural needs, and design preferences.

Our retaining wall systems include:

Each solution is designed to maximise land use while ensuring long-term structural stability. Whether your project needs to support a loading bay, retain a basement level, or create tiered landscaping, our engineering team can deliver systems that are cost-efficient, durable, and visually compatible with the surrounding architecture.

As industry leaders in piling, we deliver high-performance business park piling systems that form the backbone of modern commercial developments. We assess ground conditions, building loads, and site logistics to recommend the most suitable piling solution for your business park project.

Our piling services for business parks include:

Our in-house design team works alongside you from the earliest stages, ensuring your piling works align with programme, cost, and performance expectations. We also offer rapid mobilisation and efficient installation, reducing downtime and accelerating your construction timeline.

Our Business Park Case Studies

Our track record in business park groundworks is proven by our portfolio of successful projects across the UK. Each case study highlights our ability to meet complex ground conditions, strict timelines, and high-performance specifications.

Avonmouth Plot 3

avonmouth plot

Location: Avonmouth, Bristol, UK

The Avonmouth Plot 3 Matrix 49 project involved ground improvement and piling for new industrial, logistics, and office spaces. It was divided into three main areas: superstructure and internals with driven pre-cast piles; an external concrete yard with rigid inclusions; and an asphalt access road, car park, and fire track with hybrid inclusions.

We were appointed by McLaren Construction to install 2,447 250mm² DPC piles, 574 300mm² DPC piles, and 841 rigid plus 1,260 hybrid inclusions. We also carried out extensive testing, including static and dynamic load tests, to verify the installed piles and inclusions.

St Modwen Park

Location: Burton, Staffordshire, UK

When Winvic Construction approached us to discuss Units B79, B58, and B41 at St Modwen Park, Burton Phase 4 and 5, we drew on extensive local experience and knowledge of ground conditions. We proposed two solutions: a driven precast concrete pile system and a ground improvement package using rigid inclusions.

The ground improvement scheme involved installing 300mm diameter rigid inclusions on a designed grid to meet load requirements, providing both ground enhancement and structural foundation support for the logistics park.
