Piling for a new commercial development in Eastwood, a former coal mining town just off the A610
Aarsleff are currently onsite, utilising its Junttan and Banut rigs to drive 5137 No precast concrete piles of 250mm and 350mm square diameter piles, up to 17 Metre in length.
Owing to the offsite benefits of precast piling in relation to reduced traffic movements, factory quality piles and no spoil away during installation, Aarsleff’s Contracts Engineering Parth Patel said “It is a great acknowledgement in Aarsleff’s team and technical capabilities that we have been awarded our second major project with this client, in the space of just a few months, having recently installed just under 1000 No precast piles for York’s new football stadium”.
Aarsleff Ground Engineering commenced work in mid-April and are due to be on site for 12 weeks.
Commercial building projects are a fundamental component of Aarsleff’s work, having provided the foundations and geotechnical work for many schemes including mega-retail sheds, distribution warehouses, University accommodation and major supermarket and household name units.
