Aarsleff Ground Engineering’s site operatives have recently been recognised for their attitude toward health and safety whilst on site in Stockport installing soil nails.
Main Contractor Graham Construction Ltd were impressed with the attitude Aarsleff’s operators had towards Health & Safety and the mechanisms that were put in place, and subsequently presented Aarsleff’s site team working on Stockport with an ‘Above and Beyond’ award.
Aarsleff’s construction manager James Batty said:
Graham Construction were very impressed with our operators’ attitude to protecting themselves from cement dust, who wore full face mask equipment supplied by our STEQ team. They also appreciated the location of Aarsleff’s grouting station, which was placed in a bund to prevent dust spreading and ensure protection of the environment.
Robert Speakman, STEQ (Safety, Training, Environment, Quality) manager also added:
The award is a great achievement for the team, demonstrating our behaviour towards health and safety. Health and safety has been championed as one of Aarsleff Ground Engineering’s core business values for over 25 years and the protection of human life with safe working environments is Aarsleff’s highest priority.
