Aarsleff had the pleasure of visiting Beaumond House Community Hospice this week, and seeing first-hand the wonderful work that staff, nurses and volunteers of Beaumond do. It was inspiring to see that Beaumond is also very much about living. It was a bright and lively place, and the patients spoke of being “home from home”.
Beaumond House Community Hospice is a registered charity that is committed to providing supportive palliative care to patients with life limiting or terminal illnesses and their families living in Newark & district, since 1987. Beaumond House operates over an approximate radius of 15 miles from Newark. Each year they provide care for over 500 patients and support to their families, caring for around 150 patients at any one time. Through their doors you will find a lively and vibrant space, filled with life and laughter. Their staff, volunteers and patients alike bring hope and happiness together. I also had the pleasure of hearing about the patients day-to-day routines. Patients enjoy wholesome home cooked food and days are filled with therapeutic activities and personalised support from their nurse led team.
