Aarsleff Ground Engineering Ltd, a leading specialist ground engineering contractor based in Newark UK, are looking for a zealous Marketing Assistant to support the Marketing manager in carrying out various strategies and tasks of the company.
This work will be a critical factor for the smooth operation of the Marketing department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of the company.
The ideal candidate will have a positive approach and the confidence to put forward their own ideas when appropriate.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Working with other departments and clients to write marketing literature (brochures, case studies, presentations, press releases, company newsletters etc) to augment the company’s presence in the market
- Compose and post engaging online content on the company’s website and social media accounts
- Assist in the organisation of promotional events and learning seminars and attending when required to facilitate their success
- Update spreadsheets, databases and inventories with statistical, financial and non-financial information
- Organise and plan the production of Press Releases by working closely with members of staff and external bodies
- Assist in developing the company’s efforts in CSR by liaising with both National and local charities
- Assisting with the production of merchandise and promotional material
- Helping identify marketing trends and key opportunities in the industry, through regular market research
- Travel to project sites and events in the UK
- Assisting in site-based marketing via Film and Photography
- All duties to be carried out responsibly in accordance with current Environmental, Quality, Health & Safety Policies in close co-operation with colleagues and the STEQ Manager. Be responsible for ensuring your own awareness of the Company Environmental, quality and Health & Safety Policies.
The person:
- Access to own vehicle with full UK clean driver’s license
- Drive and the willingness to succeed
- Well-organised with a customer-oriented approach
- Effective written English and interpersonal skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
- Good understanding of office management and marketing principles
The Ideal candidate:
- Proficient on Adobe InDesign & Photoshop
- Basic photography skills
- Basic knowledge of Email Marketing, Internet search and SEO methods.
