Taylor Pearson Developments negotiated a turnkey contract with Waterloo Housing Group for the provision of 22 new affordable rental and shared ownership homes on a quiet cul de sac in Old Leake, Lincolnshire. The area, situated approximately 8 miles from the market town of Boston, on the A52 road between Leverton and Wrangle, will home six 2-3 bedroom houses. Aarsleff Ground Engineering was awarded the foundation’s contract comprising piling and ground beams for plots 1-22 of this new residential development.
Aarsleff employed it’s Banut 300 to drive 177no driven precast concrete piles of section 200mm square of lengths exceeding 10m but not exceeding 14m. Once the pile foundations were in place, Aarsleff Ground Engineering supplied and installed the Centrum Ground Beam system consisting of 623 linear meters of 450mm X450mm precast concrete beam. Aarsleff’s innovative Ground Beam system was chosen as a cost-effective and quick solution, as it could be installed as an integrated element of the foundation works.
Taylor Pearson Construction’s supervisor Simon Harrison spoke about their experience with Aarsleff: “The Aarsleff lads on site were extremely professional. They were good workers and have got on with everybody on site”.
The housing development is due to be completed in March 2018.
